Description: Without the script, you truly will not understand this work, but the track productions are awesome. Especially since a majority of them were released in 1999! It was written during a very dysfunctional time in Raquela's life. Originally written to electronic productions are imaginary friends Raquela made up in her head over the course of 40 years.... before and then during her 1st cognitive behavioral therapy. A huge playwright was later composed and behold the music you are listening to was the 1st of its kind, "Theatrical Dance - Musical". We're sorry that you will not be able to read along with the script, but "Confessions of the Disco Diva" was performed/work shopped twelve different times by a small cast of 7 (including Raquela playing herself sometimes) and performed in and out of NYU between 1999 to 2007. It was later nominated and won several small theatrical recognitions. This was the music many believe Pop stars like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry patterned after. These tracks were not mixed or mastered professionally. The original recordings were done on a budget in an analog studio onto ADAT tapes. Some were played and/or released to radio stations like KTU and actually charted for 6 weeks straight. The story is based on Raquela's lifetime imaginary friends, (DJ, Soul Girl 1, Soul Girl 2, Soul Girl 3, Gogo dancer 1, Gogo dancer 2 and "that Band member Dude") helping her to finally grow up and out of her "Michael Jackson" mentality, to locate and bring out her inner "woman of honor". SHORT SYNOPSIS: The show opens at an L.A. Car Wash owned by an older Raquela. A young girl drives up in her convertible while talking on the phone with her agent about her next track release. The girl spots and recognizes Raquela then hangs up. The two meet and Raquela chooses to tell the girl her 'story' to help give advice. The way the show ends is not how you thought it started... but that's another story... or is it?
